ARCATA -- Humboldt State University has added a hub to the university’s Web site, www.humboldt.edu/green/, to spread the word about its efforts to develop examples of sustainable environments.
The new pages and links carry extensive coverage of conservation efforts that run the gamut from greening the Eureka waterfront reducing HSU’s carbon footprint. They also offer tips for greening daily life.
TallChief Comet, HSU’s sustainability coordinator, calls the hub an important online resource “that allows us to broadcast HSU’s dedication to environmental responsibility to an even broader audience.”
Features regularly updated articles about green partnerships between HSU and the community, campus sustainability projects and student conservation programs, like the live-in Campus Center for Appropriate Technology.
The pages also include an eco-friendly events calendar and a guide for undergraduates interested in focusing on environmental and related studies.
